I gave up at 48% in. I was able to overlook the grammatical errors(we all make mistakes), but Izzy's jealousy toward every single woman was too much. She was barely acquainted with Bain for mere hours, and already jealous when he just mentioned a woman he knows, who happened to be his sister. She's jealous of her own sister, jealous of Bain's Mom and doubting everything she thought they had between them before finding out it was his mom, then got jealous of another woman he had to have a meeting with... Yet earlier on, it was okay to start grinding on a random man when Bain took her to a club for a fun night, knowing he was there and watching.It's too petty and immature.

Isabelle has been busy too building a career to really look for love, but when her sister pushes someone at little does she know that one date will change everything for her, especially after her date is attacked and the attackers say they are there to save her.
Bain has always been a womanizer, and has never met a woman who tells him no, until Izzy. She's a spitfire with a curvy body any man would go crazy over, but the more time he spends with her the more he begins to feel for her.
It was bad luck that brought them together, but what kind will it take for them to be together?
Bain is arrogant, cocky, and a bit full of himself, but he takes his duty serious and does what it takes to protect the world from threats it doesn't know anything about. As you get to know him you see his strengths and willingness to try something new even if it's not something he thought he wanted.
Izzy is my type of female lead. She's tough as nail and doesn't let people walk all over her. She says whats on her mind, but knows when to keep her mouth shut. And she knows how to handle cocky alpha males.
This was an introduction into a new world and the author did an amazing job describing it and making you feel like you're right there in it. I had a blast getting to know the characters and will definitely be reading the rest of the series to see each of the guys stories unfold.
Immortal Blood is the first book in the Immortal Heart series by Magen McMinimy. This was a really good read, it puts a whole new spin on the Fae world and I enjoyed it. I love reading books I don't want to put down and this was definitely one of those, there were a few times I was ready for the plot to move forward but not many. For the post part this was a really enjoyable ready and I was hooked from the start. Her whole new spin on the Fae world and how it all works really peaked my interest and I love what she did with the world. This was the love story of Izzy, a beautiful woman with attitude & Bain, a sex immortal who never expected to want to be tied down and I enjoyed their banter and how they slowly fell for each other even though they both fought the attraction tooth and nail. With their story the author brought many other characters and let you get a small glimpse into their lives and personalities as well, I cant wait to get to know them more in the upcoming books.

I like to read paranormal books of various kinds. I would say that I am not a big fan of books on the Fae as there are few books that hold my interest. I often find myself deleting them unread.
At first I thought this might be the case with Immortal Blood. I kept reading because I liked Izzy and wanted to know how her story turned out. One thing I liked is she wasn't afraid to call Bain on being a jerk immortal Fae or not.
Bain is a challenge he is a jerk from his introduction. Sometimes he's likeable in one instance and back to being a jerk the next.
It turned out to be a good beginning to a series and I am looking forward to learning more about these Fae. I would recommend this book to others who are looking for something a little different
I had a hard time reading this book. While, I give credit to the author for writing and creating different paranormal kinds, I just didn't like it. So you have light and dark fae who have wings, fangs to drink other fae blood to heal, and each having their own supernatural power. Oh, let's not forget about the leprechaun who steals luck from women by kissing them. Very strange and I just didn't like the world she created.
I also didn't like the characters. Izzy is insanely annoying and immature. She has a jealousy streak and obviously has zero confidence in herself. I can't stand reading about women who are like this. I prefer strong and independent women. While at the beginning she was resistant to going with Bain, that obviously didn't last long.
I not a fan of the writing. It seemed juvenile and needs improvement. There's always a short description of an action before dialogue. There's also very limited vocabulary in the descriptions. It gets so boring and monotonous. For example
Izzy arched an eye brow at him...dialogue.
Bain chuckled... dialogue.
Izzy studied him with narrowed eyes...dialogue.
I'm definitely going to pass on reading the rest of the series.
